Rooted DG: End-of-Term Reflection

Icebreaker

Pick an emoji to describe how you’re feeling right now and explain why.

Reflection

On a piece of paper, write the months of the term going from left to right (January, February, March, April). Chart how you think your term went with a line, marking out high, medium, and low points. Mark any significant events.

Reflect on where your relationship with God was throughout the term. Draw another line, perhaps in another colour, charting how close you felt to God throughout the term.

Reflect on your relationship to the body of Christ throughout the term. Chart your progress throughout the term.

Explain your graph to the group and share any insights you’ve gained throughout the past few months.

Discernment and Goals for the Summer

How do you want your “chart” at the end of the summer to look?

Look at your progression throughout the last term. In what direction do you think the Holy Spirit is guiding you? In what ways has God been preparing you to do His Work over this coming summer?

Prayer

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.

James 1:5 (ESV)

Pray for wisdom from God and ask Him to guide your steps for each term. Pray for each other in accountability.
